Paula

Chief Executive and Head of Home

Paula has overall responsibility for the site including the independent flats and the day centre and has responsibility for the budget.  Paula is registered with CQC as the Board’s ‘nominated individual’ which means she oversees all the compliance and regulations on their behalf.  She also has responsibility for the home’s marketing and publicity and attends local and national forums. Paula works closely with the board in shaping the direction of the service and deals with legal matters and insurance claims.

Roger

Registered Manager

Roger is the Registered Manager, he has the responsibility for ensuring that all care is delivered within CQC regulations, this means making sure that all staff have relevant training and supervision; ensuring the Health and Safety regulations are met; including Fire safety, ensuring that all residents are safe, well and have their dignity and rights respected at all times. He manages all staff, and specifically all senior staff who perform their duties under his direct supervision. He liaises with families and visiting professionals.

Kathy

Resource Officer

Kathy takes care of the building and makes sure that everything is clean; safe and well maintained.  She manages the domestic staff, including the laundry.  She also manages the Handyman; driver and gardener. She does the ordering of all supplies for the building from beds to toilet rolls.  She is responsible for all planned maintenance such as making sure that there are daily; weekly and quarterly checks of the entire building, including utilities.

Sanam

Senior Care

Sanam, one of our senior carers works on the floor giving hands on care as well as supporting his team leader with medication rounds; allocation of duties, and the smooth running of the shift.

Sanam deals with district nurses; arranges transport for hospital visits and makes sure that residents have an escort to external medical appointments.

Kim

Senior Care

Kim, one of our senior carers works on the floor giving hands on care as well as supporting his team leader with medication rounds; allocation of duties, and the smooth running of the shift.

Kim deals with district nurses; arranges transport for hospital visits and makes sure that residents have an escort to external medical appointments.

Winsome

Team Leader

Winsome, leads a team of up to 10 care workers, she administers medication and deals with GP visits and hospital appointments.  Winsome is responsible for ordering and receiving the medication into the building and carries out checks that are required when dealing with medicines.  She is responsible for all the day to day care at point of service and decides which staff work on which unit and who individual key workers are. Winsome also ensures that people on special or restricted diets are supplied with the right food. Our team leaders all have a senior carer who works on the floor and supports them with the paperwork as necessary.

Priti

Team Leader

Shova

Team Leader

Carolyn

Activities Co-ordinator

Carolyn plans and manages all of our varied activities, doing all of the behind the scenes organisation to working alongside our residents at the activities themselves. She builds great relationships with the residents to ensure she knows and understands all of their individual needs and desires and will tailor activities to them.

Valerie

Head Cook

Valerie is Head Cook and has a team of two cooks and four kitchen assistants.  She orders all food and works with residents and staff setting menu’s which are nutritionally balanced and keeps the kitchen kosher.  She is responsible for all the regulations that apply to food such as temperatures; appropriate storage and kitchen hygiene. Valerie is responsible for providing food with different consistencies for medical reasons, as well as making sure that diabetics and people with allergies are well looked after and safe.

Vilma

Accounts Manager

Vilma is the Accounts Manager and deals with local authorities and relatives regarding fees and payments, she has an assistant who does the payroll and handles the petty cash.  She keeps the budget and provides senior management with monthly figures showing all income and expenditure.  She works closely with auditors and the charity commission supplying them with information they require.

Durga

Receptionist

Durga is often the first contact both on the phone and for visitors to the building.  She keeps staff records such as annual leave; sickness and training.  She keeps the rota’s and fire sheets up to date and she receives the post and all deliveries into the building as well as sending out post as necessary.  She supports the kitchen with the design and print of the menus.
