Facilities

Choice Court opened in 1993 as part of the JewishChoice campus and provides apartment living for fully independent people, but who need reassurance of on-site support.

In an emergency, or out of hours, staff at Choice House will be alerted by operating an alarm button in the lounge and the bedrooms, or by a pendant worn by the tenant. If tenants are ever unwell or unable to cook, then they can go to Choice House for meal times or have meals brought over to them.

There are 16 self-contained flats, three double bedroom units and thirteen single bedroom units, with a communal laundry room and a large communal lounge and garden.

All flats have a fitted kitchen, bathroom with bath or shower, a lounge/dining room and a balcony. The Scheme Manager is on site from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday, and offers support and advice, as well as organising weekly coffee mornings and regular Tenants’ meetings.

Tenants can attend the Choice Friendship Club on Mondays and Thursdays on campus or the Lauderdale Road Friendship Club weekly via our Choice Bus. The minibus is also available to tenants in the summer for day trips, and our annual visits to Southend, Henley and Windsor.

The Dial-A-Ride Bus also takes tenants to the local supermarket for a weekly shop.
